It features large capacity 14-inch (35.6 cm), 80-tooth carbide-tipped blades that operate at 1300 RPM to quickly slice through steel, copper, aluminum, plastic or wood up to 5-1/8 inches (128 mm) in diameter without the need for cutting oil. This high-performance pipe cutting saw makes clean, precise straight cuts or miter configurations without burr, abrasive dust or heat. A heavy-duty, two-lever vice clamps the work-piece securely to allow exacting straight cuts or angle cuts of 45 to 90 degrees.
The 614 model’s speed of operation and consistently clean cuts save time on prep and cutting, making this dry cut saw twice as fast as standard, abrasive saws. The lightweight design and built-in maintenance tools make it the ideal electric pipe cutting saw for use in the shop or for those times when your job takes you off-site. This saw features carbide-tipped blades to cut different materials and geometric configurations without cutting fluid. Cutting with this saw generates no burr, abrasive dust or heat, providing clean and fast cuts on steel, copper, plastic and wood. Either straight or miter, this saw offers the largest cutting capacity in its class. It has a miter cut of 45-Degree and a powerful 15 amp 2HP motor. It features a spindle lock and a dust collector. It features built-in maintenance tools and has an exclusive quick-acting vise. This contains one 14-Inch 80 tooth blade and two maintenance tools. This saw is CSA approved and is approved to UL standards

I would love to provide a review on the saw but it is missing the large Blade Cover the covers the rotating blade making it very unsafe to use. Very unlike Ridgid to send a tool out missing a major part like the blade cover. The screws that would normally hold the cover on are also missing. Furthermore I cant get a response from Ridgid support.

Very powerful and great performance. Like the lock for holding material. The chain to hold the saw in a carrying position seems like an afterthought. Have a 20 year old craftsman miter saw that has a spring pin design to hold the saw motor to the frame. Made in Taiwan. Wanted to buy American Made. Is pricey like American made!

I purchased this to use when installing Viega MegaPress fitting on steel pipe. This saw actually cuts pipe cleaner than my regular Ridgid pipe cutter, and a lot faster. The cut is so clean that it can be immediately pressed or threaded (my opinion). Definitely a game changer if you’re cutting a lot of steel or large copper pipe. There are a lot of metal shavings, so it’s wise to use over a large drop cloth and definitely WEAR EYE PROTECTION.

This is an amazing saw for the fabricator / welder types. I’m a machinist And welder and I have owned two of the lesser saws on the market in the 250 to 350 range and was disappointed by the housing and vise accuracy when trying to duplicate cuts on multiple pieces. This is the only portable dry cut with a precise vise assembly. I’ve owned this saw for over a year and have worn out a few blades and this saw just keeps impressing me. Yes it costs more, but it is worth every penny if you are trying to fabricate precision metalwork. You will not be disappointed with this saw.

Yes, this is a great tool. I’ve had one for many many years. You ask how is this possible it just came out? It’s an exact copy of the old Porter Cable saw that got discontinued when Dewalt bought out P.C. I’m super happy to see it in production again as it is the best designs out there. I’ve owned a lot of different name brand dry cut saws and sold most of them off very quickly for different reasons. I kept my first a 12″ Jepson (the first dry cut saw ever made) and have had it for almost 20 years and I kept my porter cable.
